Dance

Milla Delport in Grade 8 participated at the PE Dance Festival and received gold for hip hop group dance. In addition, she took part in the Talent Africa Regionals for group hip hop and received high silver. She was selected to take part at Talent Africa Nationals to represent her province on 28 September at the Alberton Civic Theatre where they selected a Federation team to represent the country. 

Lara Gaudin, Grade 10 Dance Studies student at Collegiate High School, completed her Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Vocational Ballet Examination with distinction. 

We congratulate Cassidy Kwong See for achieving a distinction in her RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Ballet exam. 

Kelly Pote did exceptionally well at the recent Cape Town Talent Africa National event. Kelly performed a hiphop solo and received a silver medal for her routine. She has qualified for provincial colours with FPASA. 

We are extremely proud of Grade 9 learner, Shanna du Plessis, who was crowned the 2022 South African Champion in her age group at the South African Irish Dancing Championships held over the weekend of 30 September - 2 October in Johannesburg. She has qualified to represent South Africa at the Irish Dance World Championships in Montreal, Canada in April 2023. Well done, Shanna! 

Emma Jack qualified for her Eastern Cape Colours in Rhythmic Gymnastics and competed during the holiday at the South African National Gym Games in Pretoria on 4 October. In the group routine, she attained 1st position and achieved an 11th overall position in U15 Level 6.
