CRICKET

In the past week, our Second Team Cricket played against Linkside High School and emerged victorious by 6 runs. They scored a total of 74 runs while losing 6 wickets. Special recognition goes to Jaimey Prinsloo, who managed to take 2 wickets.

Similarly, our first team faced Westering High School on Thursday and won by a comfortable 46-run margin. We scored a total of 112 runs while losing 7 wickets. Nerissa Primo deserves special mention for contributing 23 runs to our team's total. Tsepiso Mahahleka-Qaku was also outstanding, taking 5 wickets while only conceding 4 runs.

As the cricket season comes to a close, we are proud of the achievements of both our teams. Thank you for your support.

NETBALL

The Netball season for our U/14A and U/16A teams kicked off over the past weekend, and we have some early results to report.

Our under 14's played well against Despatch and Nico Malan, but unfortunately lost both matches by just one goal. However, they bounced back to secure a convincing 8-0 win over Woodridge.

Similarly, our under 16's fought hard against Framesby and Nico Malan, but were unable to secure a victory in either game. However, they ended the weekend on a high note with a 12-7 win over Woodridge.

We wish our first team all the best as they prepare to face Despatch this Friday and Saturday. Overall, we are excited about the upcoming season and look forward to seeing our players continue to grow and develop on the court.

TENNIS

Our First Team Tennis, along with Grey High School's First Team, participated in the Selborne/Clarendon Mixed Doubles Tournament this past weekend. In our opening match, we faced the defending champions, Kingswood College, and managed to secure an impressive victory. However, in our second pool match, we were unable to overcome the strong Selborne and Clarendon team and suffered a defeat.

Despite the setback, we bounced back strongly on Friday, winning all singles and mixed doubles against GHS and Queen’s College and finishing second in our pool. On Saturday morning, we played some fantastic tennis in the semi-finals but lost to Pearson.

However, we finished the tournament on a high note by winning the 3rd/4th playoff against Stirling High School with a strong mixed doubles combination. We would like to give a special mention to Githe Fourie, who was named as the best number 4 girl of the tournament, and Riley Clark, who was named as the best number 3 boy of the tournament.

We congratulate all our players on their excellent performances throughout the tournament, and we are proud of their hard work and dedication.
